Cookies
In short
Genmodic uses one cookie, to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or analytics cookies, so there's nothing to accept or refuse.
The cookie
| Name | What it's for | How long | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
gm_session | Keeps you signed in. It holds a random token, is sent only to Genmodic over a secure connection, and can't be read by scripts on the page. | 30 days, or until you sign out | Strictly necessary |
Because it's strictly necessary for a service you've asked for, the law doesn't require a consent banner for it. Our host, Cloudflare, may set its own strictly-necessary security cookies to tell people from bots.
What the editor keeps in your browser
The editor saves some things in your browser's own storage (local storage and IndexedDB) so they're there next time: your last saved world, sound, picture-quality and play-view settings, the Director model you chose, recently used models, your own kits and character rigs, small interface preferences (the compass, the sun arc, hints you've seen, whether the start screen shows), and, in the local edition only, an AI key you enter, which is sent only to Anthropic with your Director requests. None of this reaches Genmodic unless you save a world online. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.
Payments
When you pay, you go to Stripe's checkout page, which sets its own cookies to process the payment and prevent fraud. See Stripe's cookie policy.
If this changes
If we ever add analytics or other optional cookies, we'll ask first where the law requires it, and update this page.
